Lim DA to host Provincial Congress on 21 October

The DA's Provincial Congress is scheduled to take place on at Sun Meropa Casino starting from 08:00 until 16:00.

POLOKWANE – The congress will be a three-in-one election and the DA will elect a provincial structure, a provincial youth structure and a DAWN (women’s structure); around 700 delegates are expected. The voters’ role has been finalised already.

According to the DA’s provincial Communications Officer, America Ngwepe, nominations were received for the following candidates:

• Provincial Leader: Botha, Androë Hendrina and Smalle, Jacobus Frederick.

• Provincial Deputy Leader: Mmoba Solomon Malatsi, Lesiba Stephen Manamela, Rembuluwani Thelma Marole, Matome James Molepo and Ngako David Setje.

• Provincial Chairperson: Phillip Langa Bodlani, Nnwakhulu Albert Mafhala, Lesetsa Elias Matlou and Geoffrey Tshibvumo.

• Deputy Provincial Chairperson: Johannes Jacobus Abrie, Morwasehlabane Kenneth Madigoe, Solomon Masehlele Maila, Zondi Timothy Maluleke, Moloko Calvin Matjee, Lesetsa Elias Matlou, Matome James Molepo, Ramadimetje Johanna Mphogo, Mashile Frans Phalane, Ngako David Setjie, Christiaan Frederik Beyers Smit, Petrus Johannes Strydom and Evelyn Rayne Wilson,

• Provincial Youth Chairperson: Sesing Anthony Phahlamohlaka, Aluwani Arthur Raphalalani and Tshedza Tshivhasa Sikhwari.

• Provincial Deputy Youth Chairperson, Training and Development: Francinah Zanele Esply, Reinhardt Kobe Fick, Samson Mphaho Khutso and Daily Matheba Daily .

• Provincial Deputy Youth Chairperson: Media and Publicity: Mapitsi Whoopi Magoro and Esrom Lesiba Setho.

• Provincial Deputy Youth Chairperson: Administration: Bianca Mocke and Tshedza Tshivhasa Sikhwari.

• Provincial Deputy Youth Chairperson: Recruitment and Campaigns: Thulani Morothi Mawasha, Samuel Ramothwala and Given Fikile Shingangwe

The provincial DAWN chairperson position will be contested between Rembuluwani Thelma Marole and Desiree van der Walt.

For the deputy provincial DAWN chairperson position, Mokgadi Jeridah Raletjena and Mashingwana Mietjie Tjumana have been nominated.

Provincial additional DAWN member(s): Manhlale Daicy Furumele Dabula, Mikateko Glanda Lentsoane Mikateko, Conny Malatji, Mpho Engelinah Matsomane, Tebogo Shiko, Mariette Pretorius and Jane Kedibone Selinah Selomo.
