Karabo Mokoena, a young woman who went missing on 28 April, was found dead by police in Johannesburg.
POLOKWANE – Police discovered her charred remains in a shallow grave in Lyndhurst, east of the city and on Thursday, 10 May, a 27 year-old man was arrested in connection with her murder.

Gauteng police spokesperson, Captain Mavela Masondo confirmed that the man will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court today (12 May) on a charge of murder.
Karabo’s murder has placed the spotlight on Femicide, which is a sex-based hate crime term, broadly defined as the intentional killing of females.
Condolences have poured in for Karabo, with many social users angry and upset over her senseless killing.
