Stolen vehicle worth R1 million recovered at Louis Trichardt lodge

The police are still looking for four suspects who managed to evade the police during the bust

LIMPOPO -The police are still looking for four suspects who managed to evade the police during a stolen vehicle bust in the Louis Trichardt area yesterday afternoon (Thursday).

The police received information about three stolen vehicles at the Texas Lodge in the Waterval area. The police in the Makhado cluster assisted by Musina VIS unit raided the premises and recovered two of the the stolen vehicles, according to Spokesperson Brigdier Motlafela Mojapelo.

“The third vehicle was already gone,” he added.

The two vehicles that were recovered are the following:

• Toyota Fortuner – reportedly hijacked in Hillcrest in February 2017.

• Toyota Double Cab 2016 model, reported to be stolen in Durban North during January this year after a break-in.

“Four suspects managed to escape by running into the nearby bushes. Police investigations to locate them continue,” he concluded
