[IN PICTURES] Sapa Yopa burns rubber at ride
The city of Polokwane almost came to a standstill on Saturday when local bike club, Sapa Yopa Motorcycle Club, held their annual rally, this year's theme was I am an African.
POLOKANE – Residents were treated to the incredible sight of more than 5 000 bikers riding from the Polokwane Show Grounds to the University of Limpopo where they first gathered to show off their biking skills, with bikers pushing their skills to the limit.
Sapa Yopa President, Sarel Nong, said the rally was a great success.
“We built it, we made it and ran it, it was a blast. We didn’t want the event to be simply wonderful, we wanted it to be useful for the people of Limpopo. We warmly thank each and everyone as well as the clubs for their support. We realised there was a need to bring Limpopo bikers of all races under one umbrella.
