Police hunt for 3 men after lodge robbery in Tzaneen

The Tzaneen police are searching for three men who allegedly tied up and robbed guests at gun point at a lodge in Tzaneen on Sunday night.

LIMPOPO – According to provincial police spokesperson, Lt Col Matshe Ngoepe, the three men entered the High Groove Lodge at around 23:30 on Sunday.

Reports show that the armed men confronted and tied up the security officer leaving him in a shack while they loaded TV’s from the lodge into a guest’s vehicle says Ngoepe.

“They went from room to room, tied up the guests and robbed them of cash, I Phones and the keys to the bakkie which they had taken possession of. Toiletries, linen and the lodge’s gate remote were also taken before they fled the scene in the stolen bakkie with the registration B875AUP.”

No arrests have been made as yet and police investigations continue adds Ngoepe.

He further adds that the suspects are English speaking African men.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident or know the whereabouts of the suspects or the stolen vehicle, may contact Brigadier Thomas Shingange at 082 565 8155, their nearest Police Station or the 24-hour crime stop number 0860010111.”
