Local bikers met the duo at Protea Hotel Ranch Resort and accompanied them into the city.

“Every time I get tired or my bum hurts, I think of what Imke is going through and that gives me stamina and hope to keep going. It is a very big challenge and I have never done something like this before, but in the end, it is not nearly as big as what Imke has to handle,” said Olivier.

Pretorius explained that he found it amazing how people supported them. “People have pulled us over to donate money,” he said.

Carla Oberholzer, DebtSafe Public Relations Officer, said so far, R200 000 has been raised for Imke.

You too can help this blue-eyed girl by either making a donation by sending an SMS to 49914 for options or follow the Ride for Imke campaign on Facebook at #rideforimke.
