Locals make difference for victim empowerment centre

In commemoration of Mandela Day on Monday, Energy FM and Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA), spend their 67 Minutes for Madiba at the Seshego Victim Empowerment Centre

POLOKWANE – They were accompanied by Magesi FC, Protoscape and Braai Brothers.

The organisations donated a Wendy House, gas stove, pots, two single beds, bedding for the entire house, and a braai for everyone to enjoy.

Centre manager, Karabo Segolela, said the centre welcomed the donations with open arms.

“Today means a lot to us, and the donations will make a huge difference,” Segolela said.

Energy FM founder, Simphiwe Mdlalose, said they couldn’t have done this without the help of other companies. “We have five centres that we support and the Seshego Victim empowerment centre is one of them. To us it is always about giving back and helping those who are in need,” Mdlalose said.

LTA CEO, Ndumiso Matlala, said: “for us this initiative is part of our social responsibility. It is a reminder of what Nelson Mandela did means to us and the 67 minutes cannot begin to express the sacrifices that he made for us as a nation, but it is the least we can do. We are happy that we have partners who helped us made this day a reality”.
