8-Member syndicate arrested

 A total of 8 members involved in a syndicate, who were terrorising communities in and around, Mokopane, Mahwelereng and the N1 were arrested by members of the Mahwelereng Police on Monday.

LIMPOPO  -The police followed up on information received and it let to the arrest of six suspects in Mapela. Two firearms and a suspected stolen vehicle were recovered. Preliminary investigations ensued and it resulted in the arrest of two more suspects in Rooivaal Village in Mapela and a third firearm recovered.
LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, reported: “It has been confirmed that two of the suspects were part of the 13 prisoners that escaped in March from the Modimolle Police cells. Six of the suspects are Zimbabwean nationals and all of the suspects are connected to a series of carjacking’s and armed robberies.”
Ngoepe further said: “The suspects will appear before the Mokerong Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.”
The SAPS Provincial Commissioner, LT General Nneke Ledwaba have warned all perpetrators that their days are numbered and that they should rather refrain from any criminal activities. Ledwaba further applauded the good work and thorough investigation led by the Mahwelereng police members.
