Learners donate R32 688 to CANSA

The learners of Northern Academy once again showed their heartfelt support for the annual Cansa charity event, Tekkie Tax Day.

POLOKWANE – The primary school learners of Northern Academy set the standard for the other learners by raising an astounding R20 000 to donate to charity.

According to Northern Academy’s primary school Principal, Jacques Bartlett, this is R5 000 more than the learners collected last year. He says apart from the Tekkie Tax the learners paid, the learners raised money by selling special shoelaces and doughnuts for Tekkie Tax Day.

Northern Academy’s secondary school in South Street contributed a further R5 625 to the donation and the learners at the College Campus on the Modjadji’s Kloof road added R7 063.

In total, Northern Academy made a donation of R32 688 for this year’s Cansa Tekkie Tax Day charity drive.
