LIMPOPO -The case was remanded due to the fact that the pre-sentencing reports by the social workers were not yet ready.
The 30-year old Amukelani Rikhotso was previously convicted on three counts of culpable homicide. He was also been found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol as well as negligent and reckless driving.
Chabane’s car collided with Rikhotso’s truck on the N1 in Limpopo in March 2015 after Rikhotso had made an illegal U-turn. All three occupants died instantly.
Sentencing has been remanded to 4 and 5 August at the Mankweng Regional Court.
