LIMPOPO – The suspects, all from Mozambique, were arrested after information was received about the suspects attempting to sell the heads and paws, on Tuesday,” said provincial police spokesperson, Col Lt Ronel Otto.
“The heads of two lions as well as 8 paws were recovered during the operation.”
Investigations to link this arrest to the poisoning of two female white lions at Stockpoort, Lephalale is still ongoing added Otto.
The suspects will appear in the Giyani Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Thursday) on charges of illegal possession of protected species.
