Philip will go the extra mile for his clients

Phillip Schoeman, property real estate broker and part owner of RE/MAX Northland, lives by two simple mantras: Knowledge is power and treat others the way you want to be treated.

POLOKWANE – From an early age, 31-year-old Schoeman knew he had a knack for sales and an ability to work well with people.

Phillip was born in the Free State but grew up in Polokwane. After completing high school, he studied at UNISA and obtained his business management degree and is now a property real estate broker and part owner of RE/MAX Northland.

Phillip explains to Review how his collaboration with the firm came about. “My partner, Wilsie Oosthuizen, and I have discussed the possibility of me joining the firm as part owner for a while, even while I was still at my previous firm. We felt that our combined efforts and complementing personalities would be greatly advantageous to the company,” says Phillip.

He has been in the real estate industry for many years and was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2015 and ranked ninth best sales person in the Northern region. According to Phillip, he has always believed in hard work no matter the situation. Even in tough economic times, Phillip says they are prepared to go the extra mile to continue being the best at what they do.

“We feel the market is what you make of it, we are always positive and we always work hard to satisfy the needs of our clients. Our goal is to keep growing at our current rapid pace and to become the top real estate brand of choice for buyers, sellers, lessors and lessees. We strive to be the best in what we do,” he explains.

He says real estate has its fair share of challenges, one of which arises when sellers have to part ways with their property for financial reasons. Even though he works hard every day, he always makes time for his family and his wife, the apple of his eye.

Some of his other passions include architecture and investment. It is clear that Phillip is a man on a mission and he wants to see others succeed as well.

“Start your mentorship with a reputable brand and get your qualification, not for the sake of getting the certificate (which is required), but to gain the knowledge you need to help people through the process of buying. Strive to become a knowledgeable agent in your field,” he concludes.
