Zanis gymnasts excel at Rhythmic Club SAs

The Zanis girls have once again proven why they are the best in the business.

POLOKWANE – The 54 girls from Zanis Gymnastics Academy competed in the South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) Club Team and Individual Competition that took place at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Johannesburg last Saturday where all of them excelled in their respective items. They had to compete in a big competition as there were a total of 400 gymnasts from 13 Clubs throughout the event. These numbers did not shake Zanis as they had a total of nine teams for the team competition and they took an astonishing total of nine first place team trophies.

Zanis walked away with a couple of top gymnast awards in the following levels:

• Level one u/7 Reatlegile Ledwaba.

• Level one u/8 Bea Venter.

• Level one u/10 Rebothile Letshedi.

• Level one u/11 Tumi Molaudi.

• Level one over 11 Claire Tairoodza.

• Level two u/9 Joelle Baker.

• Level two u/10 Thato Moeno.

• Level three u/9 Clarissa Combrinck.

• Level three u/11 Klara Pretorius.

• Level three over 11 Sarah Diederichs.

All of the Zanis gymnasts received medals according to their scores and Zanis claimed 43 gold medals and 11 silver medals.

“The Zanis girls were so polished and confident, and really shined in their beautiful lime dresses,” says Zanis head coach Zani Prinsloo.
