On Wednesday morning angry residents blocked several roads in the Mankweng area says Limpopo police.
LIMPOPO – On Wednesday morning angry residents blocked several roads in the Mankweng area says Limpopo police.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, the protests about the shortage of water in the area started earlier this week, but this morning they blocked the roads in the area of the the shopping centre and University of Limpopo.
“All shops in Zone 1 are still closed and schooling in the areas has been disrupted.”
“Crowds have been dispersed, but the roads are still blocked,” says Otto.
Public order police are still in the area and monitoring the situation.
