The roads in an around the Mogalakwena mine are open.

LIMPOPO – The roads in an around the Mogalakwena mine are open, although members of the community are still in the area reports Bosveld on Monday.

On Thursday Richard Cox, the CEO of the Mogalakwena Platinum Mine, pleaded with the mine workers to return to work; “Your safety is our highest priority and it is at the top of my agenda, I urge you to come back to work.”

This followed protest action by residents from five villages surrounding the mine, who have blocked off the entrance to the mine since early Monday morning with burning tyres and rocks in an attempt to raise their concerns.
