LETTER: Concern over plight of unwanted babies

This is a huge concern I believe to most people knowing the facts.

With shock, I have found out that about 10 newborn babies or more were being dumped every day – thrown away like an old cloth in plastic bags on rubbish dumps.

This is a huge concern I believe to most people.

My question to the government is: how can you allow teenage pregnancies to continue? Is it to collect child support, or is it ignorant young people or even poor people who cannot afford a child?

To raise a baby costs lots of money. If you don’t have money don’t make babies because you won’t be able to feed or look after your unwanted baby and they eventually become the taxpayers’ responsibility.

In other countries, if a man cannot or will not pay his half of maintenance his license to drive a car gets suspended and he cannot get credit.

What are we going to do in our own country to prevent teenage pregnancies and poor people from having more babies they cannot afford or even look after?
