Tshwane metro police (TMPD) have warned motorists of traffic disruptions in the CBD as a result of a march planned for Tuesday.
TMPD said on Monday that the Inclusive Truth and Reconciliation movement will march from Venning Park to the Union Buildings, Arcadia to demand President Cyril Ramaphosa recognise Princess Masalanabo Modjadji as the rightful leader of the Balobedu ethnic community.
TMPD said affected streets include Farenden, Beckett, Johan, Wessels, Leyds, Zeederberg, Stanza Bopape and Madiba.
TMPD officers will be stationed in the affected streets to supervise the march.
Alternative routes, such as Government Avenue, Park Street, Francis Baard Street, Arcadia Street, and Edmond Street, are recommended to motorists.
The march will begin at the park at 10:00 and end at the Union Buildings at 13:30, according to the announcement.
