Nu Metro: Beyond your imagination

Go under the sea and beyond your imagination with Disney’s new live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid (PG) – in 3D at Nu Metro Mams Mall, Menlyn Park and Woodlands Boulevard.

This family adventure tells the story of Ariel (Halle Bailey), the youngest daughter of the ruler of the underwater kingdom Atalantica, who falls in love with Prince Eric after saving him during a shipwreck and resolves to meet him in the world above water.

The new comedy starring Robert De Niro, About My Father (13 L) also starts showing at Nu Metro cinemas in Pretoria this Friday.

Sebastian informs his traditional Italian immigrant father Salvo about his plan to propose to his American girlfriend. Despite the clash between their two cultures, they eventually become a single, unified family by the end of the summer holiday weekend.

For action movie fans, Gerard Butler returns to Nu Metro Menlyn Park with the new thriller, Kandahar (16 LPV).

Tom Hams, an undercover CIA operative, is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar all whist avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down.
