West murder accused due in court

Man arrested after allegedly murdering woman and torching her house.

A man from Saulsville, west of Pretoria, will appear in the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Friday facing charges of murder and arson.

The man is accused of the murder of Cryness Mohale on 21 November.

Mohale was stabbed in the chest and her home was later torched.

The accused is also believed to be linked to the torching of Mohale’s house.

“The suspect was traced and arrested on the day of the incident,” police spokesperson Mapula Rikhotso said.

“He was charged with murder and arson. He will appear in the magistrate’s court on Friday for a formal bail application.”

Following the incident, Boxer superstores came to aide of Mohale’s children.

The retailer donated emergency supplies as well as a gift card to the children “to help get them through the month”.

“We are extremely saddened by this horrific and senseless tragedy,” Boxer marketing director Andrew Mills said.

“Our thoughts are with these young children and we hope that they find peace.”
