Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 27-year-old man who was destined for Pretoria this month.
Comwell Shikwambana (27) disappeared on the night of April 12 around 20:30.
It is reported that he was dropped off along the N1 highway in the Mokopane policing area.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Marobo Seabela said Shikwambana allegedly requested to get off a minibus taxi that was destined for Pretoria.
He said, according to the information received, he was allegedly travelling along with his girlfriend returning from a funeral at Mapfarane village under Maake precinct in Mopani District.
“He never arrived at his destination and has since disappeared. Efforts to locate him in the surrounding areas were not successful,” said Seabela.
Seabela said investigations are still ongoing to locate him.
Police urge anyone with information that can assist in finding Comwell Shikwambana should contact the Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer Josias Teffo on 072 545 2670, Crime Stop number 08600 10111, their nearest police station or the MySAPS App.
According to police, an immediate response by the SAPS can save a life.
The public is cautioned to adhere to the following guidelines when a person is missing:
– There is no waiting period to report missing persons.
– Provide as much information as possible when reporting the case at your local police station.
– Provide the latest photograph of the missing person.
– Keep the investigating official updated on any developments.
