No injuries were reported when a plane crashed on Tuesday afternoon in Onderstepoort.
According to a reliable source, the accident happened at around 16:20.
“We received initial information that a plane crashed, but it seems like it was more of a controlled crash landing.”
The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) said the recovery of the crashed plane wreckage is underway.
It said the following streets will be affected until 13:30 on Wednesday:
- Soutpan Road between the University of Pretoria and R566 Rosslyn Road in both directions.
- R566 and Paul Kruger Street
- R566 and Lavender Road
- Lavender and Lintveld Street

Meanwhile, three men were injured when their light aircraft crashed near the Wonderboom Airport in November last year.
The three men were en route from Bloemfontein to Pretoria when the accident happened.
