Husky Heaven Rescue, a registered non-profit organisation, celebrated its 10th anniversary this past Saturday with a vibrant rainbow birthday party.
The event was a heartwarming celebration of the countless furry friends who have found their forever home through the rescue’s efforts.
Founded in 2014, Husky Heaven has provided sanctuary to over 60 Huskies and other breeds, each with its own unique story of survival. Many of these dogs have been rescued from the streets, abandoned, or surrendered to the organisation in desperate need of care.
The rescue’s dedicated team works tirelessly to rehabilitate, spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip, and deworm every dog that comes into their care. They provide a loving and nurturing environment, complete with spacious outdoor areas, well-maintained dog housing and swimming pools.
To ensure the rescue’s continued success and to cover the costs of caring for these animals, Husky Heaven relies on generous donations from the public. Events like the Rainbow Birthday Party offer a wonderful opportunity for people to interact with the dogs, learn more about the rescue’s work, and contribute to their mission.
The atmosphere at the event was filled with joy and enthusiasm. Guests were greeted by Kenji, the beloved mascot of Husky Heaven and enjoyed delicious food, doggy treats, and live entertainment, including a performance by gospel artist and proud HHR volunteer Priscilla Babu.
For those seeking a more permanent reminder of their support, Jane Doe Ink offered tattoo services with half of the proceeds going directly to the rescue. It was a courageous way for attendees to show their commitment to Husky Heaven’s cause.
The Rainbow Birthday Party was a resounding success, showcasing the love and dedication that goes into rescuing and caring for these amazing animals. Husky Heaven is grateful for the continued support of the community and looks forward to many more years of making a positive impact on the lives of dogs in need.
The next event for the rescue will be the Slush Puppies Run/Walk on October 5. See more details here.
