New CPF committee in Pretoria North vows to hold safety reins for next 5 years

According to public relations officer Lebo Moli, the new members are ready to make a difference in the community.

The Pretoria North Community Policing Forum (CPF) has elected a new executive committee to lead the community for the next five years.

The elections took place on September 18, with representatives from all four Pretoria North sectors (Sectors 1-4) in attendance, alongside key stakeholders.

Public relations officer Lebo Moloi said the elections came after the recent elections of Sector 1 and 2 members.

“The Pretoria North community can look forward to a CPF dedicated to ensuring safety, unity, and collaboration for the benefit of all,” said Moloi.

Following the election, the newly appointed executive committee members are as follows:

– Chairperson: Oupa Nthite

– Deputy Chairperson: Willem Nel

– Secretary: Dawn Kellerman

– Deputy Secretary: Myra Sebalo

– Treasurer: Jerry Lamb

– Public Relations Officer: Lebo Moloi

Pretoria North SAPS station commander Colonel Nonzwakazi Julla expressed her delight with the outcome, stating that she is confident the new committee will bring positive change within the community.

“I look forward to working closely with the new CPF team to continue strengthening our partnership and making an impact in Pretoria North.”

The new chairperson Oupa Nthite committed to building a cohesive and effective team, stressing his focus on collaboration.

“I am excited to work hand in hand with all stakeholders, particularly SAPS, to foster unity and inclusivity within our CPF.”

Deputy chairperson Willem Nel echoed Nthite’s sentiments, expressing his enthusiasm for the newly formed team and his willingness to support Nthite in achieving the CPF’s goals.
