Warm, windy conditions expected in Pretoria this weekend

You can expect warm, windy conditions expected in Pretoria this weekend. Here is more information on what is expected.

Pretoria residents can expect warm and windy weather this weekend, with temperatures reaching the high 20s.

Early next week, a shift in conditions may bring isolated showers and thunderstorms, along with cooler temperatures as a convergence of air systems moves into the region.

According to VoxWeather forecaster Michelle Cordier, on Monday, with the sunny and warm, also windy conditions, so there’s a high fire risk this weekend, especially Sunday over the southern parts of Gauteng.

“There’s a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in Gauteng due to an area of convergence.”

Cordier said air from the east, brought by a high-pressure system following a cold front, and air from the tropics due to a surface trough will meet around Gauteng and may cause convection, which is ideal for cloud formation that could bring rain and even thunderstorms.

Though not much rain is expected.

“Tuesday will be slightly cooler because of that air from the east brought by the high-pressure system behind the cold front. Temperatures will be in the low 20s.”
