Help Pretoria family find missing mother

Tiny Mantsha Mukubela’s brother reported his sister missing after she left her children behind at her rental place in Mamelodi East on her day off.

A family is seeking help in finding a 39-year-old mother of three who disappeared on July 27 in Mamelodi East Ext 6.

Tiny Mantsha Mukubela was reportedly last seen leaving her rental place carrying a small bag, paper and pen.

It was reportedly her day off from her fast-food restaurant job at the time of her disappearance.

During her disappearance, it is reported that she left her children aged two and 10 years old behind.

According to Mukubela’s brother, David, the neighbours heard her two daughters crying and found them alone in a room full of smoke. The eldest daughter tried to cook rice.

“Police and social workers were called.” The children led them to their uncle.

“Social workers said they were taking the kids but my nieces wanted to stay with me so, they made official arrangements for that,” he said.

Mukubela was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, a McDonald’s jersey and black shoes.

According to David, the police had tracked her phone in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal on August 20.

He said his sister had received a child grant on August 6, however, there haven’t been any withdrawal transactions so far.

Anyone with information about Mukubela’s whereabouts can contact Mamelodi East police on 012 815 7006.

Police spokesperson Constable Penelope Khulong said the victim was last seen wearing a blue jersey, blue jeans, black jacket and black shoes, and has not returned home since.

She said her brother David Mokubela reported her missing when commuters came to his place alerting him that his nieces are left alone at home.

Khulong said the case is still under the investigation.
