The complainant reported that his brother's wife Maria came to him to inform him his brother went missing on August 22.

Mamelodi police need help in finding a man who’s been missing since last Thursday.

Armando Cruz Cuambe from Emalahleni, who works as a cobbler near Fourways, Tsomo Street, Mamelodi East, went missing on August 22.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Daphney Maila said Cuambe was last seen wearing yellow trousers and a white t-shirt.

He was reported as missing by his brother on August 24.

She said the brother told police that Cuambe’s wife Maria had told him that she hadn’t seen him since August 22.

“He went with her to their residence and found his cellphone and clothes still there,” said Maila.

“The amount of R1 000 was missing, and the brother went to where Cuambe did his business selling chips and repairing shoes and all his stock was there,” said Maila.

She said he then decided to report his brother as missing.

Maila added that there is no waiting period to report a missing person.

Anyone with information about Cuambe’s whereabouts should contact the investigating officer Sergeant Mkhonoane on 084 410 8366.
