Icy cold Tuesday expected in Pretoria

The weather service said residents in Pretoria can expect an icy cold day on Tuesday. Here is your weather for the rest of the week.

An icy cold Tuesday is expected in Pretoria.

According to Vox Weather forecaster Annette Botha, temperatures will start rising from Wednesday to Friday.

“It gets warmer from Wednesday onwards with temperatures reaching the mid to high 20s by Friday.”

Most parts of South Africa had a cold weekend as a strong cold front made landfall over the Western Cape on Sunday.

“The public and small stock farmers are advised that very cold conditions. Strong to gale force winds and very rough to high seas are expected along the coastal areas of Western Cape and Eastern Cape from Sunday through to Monday.”

Meanwhile, the Tshwane metro has allocated over R24-million to its Public Lighting Programme for the current financial year to improve streetlights across the city.

This move is part of the metro’s Mayoral Urban Management Plan, which aims to address critical service delivery issues including streetlights, road maintenance, and waste management.
