Three-day rooted capital city market

The market is all about family; you can get great things from the market for women, men, and children from great food, fresh veggies, clothes, and jewelry.

The 3-day Rooted Capital City Market was buzzing as more than 5000 people from around Pretoria flocked to buy local products and some delicious food.

The market was held at the Capital City Church International, Zwavelpoort, in Pretoria East.

One of the organizers, Nasi Evered-Hall, said the three-day market ran from July 26 to 28.

She said the three-day market started with a night market on Friday with live performances and went on to the Saturday and Sunday markets.

“The market is all about family; you can get great things from the market for women, men, and children from great food, fresh veggies, jewelry, etc.,” said Nasia.

Lisa Gittins added that two great things about the Rooted Capital City market are that it combines a Friday night market and is also pet friendly.

Gittings said the aim was to bring residents of Pretoria together in an enjoyable natural environment.

She said the whole idea of the market is that it’s laid-back, and you bring your entire family and friends to spend some time on Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday.

The market is held every two to three months; the next date of the market and venue is still to be set.
