Mandela Day at Woodrock Animal Rescue, Centurion, July 18-20
Woodrock Animal Rescue is hosting a special event in commemoration of Mandela Day to symbolise Nelson Mandela’s vision of Ubuntu.
Pay tribute to Mandela and his legacy along with the shelter in Hennops River Valley from Thursday to Saturday as you explore the shelter and gain insight into its operations.
The special event will take place from July 18 to 20 from 09:30 to 15:00.
Christmas in July MTB Charity Race, Grootfontein Bike Park, July 20
Mountain Goats Cycling Club and Tillanie Neethling are hosting a fundraising race to benefit all animals of Wollies Animal Shelter.
The mountain MTB bike race will have routes of 20km, 40km and 1km XCC.
Enjoy a fun-filled day with music and stalls, a play area for kids and a mini market on Saturday from 09:00
Mandela Fun Run, Forest Hill City, July 20
Forest Hill City in partnership with Azania Athletics Club, GOAT Creative Solutions, Basadi Ba Moshito, Olievenflair and Olieven Development invites you all to celebrate Mandela Day with them.
All proceeds of this fun run will go to charity.
It will take place on Saturday from 07:00 to 12:00.
Lamb Champs 2024, Pretoria Botanical Garden, July 20
Here comes the biggest lamb and bok choy roast competition of the year, where there will be 100 mutton pits, 50 box pits, and four guest artists for good music and entertainment!
Family farmers from all over South Africa will stand in line to be crowned the winner of the competition.
The competition kicks off at 10:00 on Saturday.
