Motorists warned of streets closure around Loftus

The streets around the stadium are expected to be closed from 07:00 until 22:00 on Saturday.

Motorists in Arcadia are warned of road closures near the Loftus Versfeld stadium ahead of a rugby match on July 6 from 18:00.

The Tshwane metro police (TMPD) issued the warning before the rugby match between the Springboks (South Africa) and Ireland.

According to TMPD spokesperson Isaac Mahamba, the following streets are expected to be closed from 07:00 until 22:00:

– Kirkness and Park streets
– Park and Farenden streets
– Park and Ayton streets
– Beckett and Park streets
– Farenden and Arcadia streets
– Park and Orient streets
– Eastwood and Arcadia streets
– Lynnwood Road and Walton Jameson avenues
– Lynnwood and University roads
– Walton Jameson Avenue and Villa Street
– Walton Jameson Avenue and Bond Street
– Maple and Ivy streets
– Maple and Myrtle streets

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes such as:

– Francis Baard Street
– Pretorius Street
– Stanza Bopape Street
– Justice Mahomed Street
– Florence Ribeiro Avenue
– Middel Street
– Jan Shoba Street
– Leyds Street

TMPD and South African Police Service officers will be deployed to monitor all affected streets.
