Moot Saturday market gains popularity every week

The market is open every second weekend, and different business owners are given an opportunity to trade.

If you’re into the best gourmet food at a craft market, Woelige Moot Mark is a place to be on weekends.

The market is being held at Toutrek Park in Rietfontein every second week.

Theresa Stoltz of the market said it is growing very fast and attracts a lot of people.

She said families gathered at the market on Saturday to enjoy unique foods and craft beer, and live music entertainment.

“The market is open every second weekend, and different business owners are given an opportunity to trade,” said Stoltz.

There were fresh meat and vegetable producers, clothes and local food stalls, making traditional food such as melkkos, banting treats and freshly made pancakes.

According to Stolz, the market was described as a success by the organisers, with signs that it will continue to grow from its humble 50 stalls this past Saturday.
