Sundowns sweep PSL awards

The biggest winner of the night was Ronwen Williams, as he made history by becoming only the third goalkeeper to win the PSL Footballer of the Season award.

Mamelodi Sundowns stole the show at the Premier Soccer League (PSL) awards ceremony on Sunday night, June 23.

Downs bagged six prestigious awards to cap off the season.

The event started off with Sundowns receiving the PSL Chairman’s Award.

The second award went to Coach Rulani Mokoena, who was named Coach of the Season.

The biggest winner of the night was Ronwen Williams, as he made history by becoming only the third goalkeeper to win the PSL Footballer of the Season award.

Williams also took home the Goalkeeper of the Season award.

Bafana Ba Style defender, Grant Kekana was honoured as the Defender of the Season,

Ntando Nkosi, captain of the Diski Team, received the DStv Diski Challenge Player of the Season award.

The awards recognised Sundowns’ remarkable achievements, including their record-breaking 29-game unbeaten streak in the DStv Premiership and their seventh consecutive league title.

The Mamelodi Sundowns family congratulated Mokoena, Williams, Kekana and Nkosi on their well-deserved accolades, celebrating a season that will go down in history.
