Sammy Marks marketing manager, Sandy Mabena, said the six finalists were chosen by the community.

“The six finalists competing today were chosen by our very own community, reflecting your love and appreciation for the exceptional talent that thrives among us,” Mabena said.

The top six choirs were Hatfield Square Choir, The Sushalibraz, Advent of Harmony, Madeira Acapella Choir, Dikonyana Tsa Morena Gospel Choir and Showers Of Blessing Gospel Choir.

She said all competitors showcased their talent, dedication and passion for music.

There could however be only one winner.

Showers Of Blessing Gospel Choir came first, walking away with R30 000.

Second place went to Hatfield Square Choir and Dikonyana Tsa Morena Gospel Choir came third.

“The event was more than just a competition, it was a celebration of community, music, and the power of unity,” Mabena said.

Sammy Marks marketing director Shannon Wulff said, “These choirs are a testament to the richness and diversity of our local talent”.

She said their dedication and passion for music brought the community together.

“Music has a unique power to unite us, transcend our differences and create lasting memories,” she added.
