Manhunt for north clothing store robbers

The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of clothes, cellphones and cash.

Police are hunting the three armed men who robbed a clothing store at Wonderpark Shopping centre, north of Pretoria, at the weekend.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan Van Dyk the robbers struck on May 19 and made off with an undisclosed number of clothes, cellphones and cash.

“The property stolen cannot be fully known until the shop conducts a stocktaking.”

He said one of the suspects who was in possession of a firearm instructed the employees to take out their private cellphones and put them on the counter.

“The complainant alleges he was not at work on the said date when he received a call from a staff member at the shop and was informed that the shop had been robbed.

He further explained that he rushed to the store to check what happened and found the staff members unharmed as no shot was fired,” said Van Dyk.
