Rain expected this week in Tshwane

Forecaster Kgolofelo Dube said afternoon thundershowers are expected in Tshwane on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

A slight chance of rain has been forecasted this week in Pretoria, according to the South African weather service.

Forecaster Kgolofelo Dube said afternoon thundershowers are expected in Tshwane on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

“The thundershowers will possibly occur in the evening on April 2 and afternoon of April 3.

There’s a 30% chance of showers and thundershowers in the afternoon till Wednesday,” she said.

She said April started at a minimum temperature of 17° C while a maximum of 21° C is also expected on April 1.

Dube said on Tuesday residents can expect a warm day with temperatures reaching a maximum of 27° C from a minimum of 18°C and a 40% chance of showers or thundershowers in the evening.

She said Wednesday April 3 is predicted to be partly cloudy until in the afternoon with 35% chance of thundershowers.

“The maximum temperature on Wednesday is expected to reach 27° C while from a minimum of 20° C,” Dube said.

She said Thursday is expected to reach a maximum of 21° C from a low of 17°C and an 80% chance of rain in the morning.

Dube said Friday would be mostly cloudy with a minimum of 19° C and a maximum of 21° C while showers or thundershowers can be expected in the late afternoon.
