Valentine’s Love Songs, Irene, February 14 to 18

Irene Village Mall is making this Valentine’s one to remember with five performances over four nights.

Enjoy a romantic atmosphere with a line-up of soul-stirring love songs performed live by talented local artists.

Catch Minke Brits on February 14 from 17:00 and February 17 from 18:30, Bianca Blanc on February 14, Pedro Barbosa on February 16, and the Traveller on February 18 from 18:30 to 20:00.

Castle Gate Night Market, Erasmus Park, February 16

Live music, arts and crafts, food and an all-round good vibe await at this night market.

Entrance is free and the whole family is welcome.

The market runs from 16:00 to 22:00 at Castle Gate Shopping Centre on Friday.

24 Afrikaanse Liedere van 20 jaar, Lynnwood Manor, February 16

A rich and engaging musical experience awaits at Atterbury Theatre, with a show that goes beyond collaborative duets and includes moving solo performances from the artists.

Ruan Jordaan, Frikkie van Biljon, Gerduan Kemp and Rita Li will have their moment in the spotlight, delivering solo items that showcase their distinctive styles and vocal prowess, bringing a personal touch to the diverse collection of 24 Afrikaans songs spanning two decades.

Purely Pretoria Summer Beer Mile, Hazeldean, February 17

Ready, set, beer! The Hazeldean Brewing Co. Taproom promises its most epic beer mile yet.

Four beers make one mile with a 400m dash to earn you your brew, with prizes for the best dressed and top contenders.

Registrations open at 13:00 for the 14:00 race.

Valentine’s Drive-in movie under the stars, Silverton, February 17

Delightful gifts, scrumptious food, and beer paired with the Dirty Dancing film are the perfect way to celebrate your Valentine.

The Pretoria Boeremark is having a movie night under the stars.

Doors open at 18:00 for the movie that starts at 19:00. While food and a beer garden will be available, picnic baskets are welcome to add a personal touch to your romantic evening.

Emission Day, Koedoespoort, February 17

Burn some rubber at Bernie’s Joint for an Emission Day Celebration.

There will be live entertainment and a chance to show some muscle and leave your mark for a day in the sun.

The event runs from 10:00 on Saturday.

Hans Drommedaris Drum Duo, Capital Park, February 17

A show with a good cause this weekend as Vellies presents the Hans Drommedaris Drum Duo in support of gender-based violence victims.

Tickets are available at the door with all ticket fees going to GBV victims.

The show starts at 20:00 and runs until 22:00 on Saturday.
