Nellmapius family is searching for missing teacher

Boitumela Maketsing Mabusela (43) was allegedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend. He has since been found dead, along with the car and two cellphones, but there is still no sign of her.

A 43-year-old teacher from Nellmapius has gone missing after she allegedly was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend.

Boitumela Maketsing Mabusela, who was renting a room in Nellmapius ext. 2, was last seen going to drop off her two children at school on February 2.

Her sister, Winnie Ramafoko, claimed her sister had been kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend.

She said the children told her the ex-boyfriend got into her sister’s car and drove with them for a few blocks before dropping them off and leaving with her sister.

“My sister is still missing, but the ex-boyfriend was found dead by the police after he hanged himself under a tree next to a plot in Bronkhorstpruit,” said Ramafoko.

She said the car was found next to the ex-boyfriend’s body, including both their cellphones, but her sister was nowhere to be found.

Her sister was last seen wearing blue jeans and a light green top.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Francois Smith, said the police have already started investigating a missing person’s case and appealed to the public for assistance in locating Mabusela.

He said she was reported missing by a family member on February 2.

The police said there is no waiting period to report a missing person.

Anyone who has information on Mabusela’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Silverton police on 012 845 4000, Crime Stop at 08600 10111, or submit information through the MySAPS app.

The family can be contacted on 060 775 1350.
