Car involved in robbery recovered, armed robbery suspects arrested

The suspects were wanted for housebreaking and robberies that took place in December 2023

Proshield Security Company and the Sinoville police have recovered a car and arrested two suspects on January 11 sought for a housebreaking and armed robbery that took place in December 2023.

Proshield K9 and R3 units received a notification of a suspicious vehicle entering Sinoville from The Moot.

The vehicle, a Hyundai Accent, was suspected to have been involved in multiple robberies in December.

According to Proshield its K9 and R3 searched the area for the car.

“After a short search K9 unit spotted the vehicle on Braam Pretorius Street,” said the security company.

Proshield said that while following the vehicle the suspects noticed the K9 unit and attempted to escape.

The vehicle was stopped with the assistance of the Sinoville police.

“Upon further investigation, it came to light that the vehicle was sought for armed robbery in December 2023,” said Proshield.

Upon searching the vehicle the police found a number of housebreaking tools in the vehicle, and suspects wanted for housebreaking and armed robberies.

The suspects were arrested and taken to Sinoville police station.
