Moreleta’s Saturday Market gains popularity every week
‘If you come to the market, there is no rush, because at the Saturday Market, it’s laid back.’
The Coffee Pot Saturday Market was buzzing as hundreds of Pretorians flocked in for some delicious food and to buy local products.
Riethe Glober, owner of The Coffee Pot said the market aimed to bring residents of Pretoria together in a very pleasent natural environment.

She said the Saturday market opened in the first week of January and is gaining popularity fast during its second week.
“We have about 20 permanent vendor shops at the market, including a barber shop opening from Tuesday to Sunday.
“You can buy anything at the market, from books to leather products, arts and crafts, clothes, handbags, and there is a nursery next door,” she said.

Demetrio Peta, one of the vendors, said the market is about growing each others’ businesses by supporting each other and there are lots of products that you can buy at the market.
Glober added if you come here, you shouldn’t rush, the whole idea of the market is it’s laid back nature.
“The environment is child- and family-friendly. You can also come along with friends and have a nice cake or coffee at the shop,” she said.

The market is open from 09:00 to 17:00.
