A high-speed chase through the street of Pretoria ended in a fatal shooting.

And it was all caught on camera.

According to the Bull Security Communique, one of their officers noticed a suspicious vehicle speeding and decided to give chase.

“Bull Security officers saw the other m/v, a Land Rover Evogue, speeding away, and a high-speed chase ensued. The suspect collided with the barriers on the Garsfontein off-ramp from the N1 freeway Northbound, and the m/v overturned,” the communique read.

The company further alludes that the suspect attempted to flee the accident scene, adding that while attempting to, he started shooting at the security officer.

“After a shootout between the suspect and the security officer, the suspect was fatally wounded. All role players were contacted, and the scene was cordoned off”.

Furthermore, the company expressed its gratitude and the dedication that its members showed on the day.

According to the information provided by the security, the deceased was an African male.

The police recovered a 1 x Norinco 9 mm pistol (serial removed), 5 x 9mm live rounds of ammunition, and 1 x Norinco magazine.

A case of robbery has since been opened at Brooklyn police station.

At the same time, this collaboration between these two law enforcement agencies resulted in the recovery of the BMW found in Mamelodi East, which is believed to have been stolen in a house robbery in Sinoville.

The security said the operation between them and the SAPS proved that collaboration between the two agencies can deal with crime effectively when hands and resources are joined.
