American music giant thrills congregants at Pretoria church service

BeBe Winans left congregants asking for more as he serenaded them with his all-time favourite song, ‘It all comes down to love’.

American gospel and R&B singer extraordinaire Benjamin Winans, known as Bebe to his followers, has graced Jabula Destiny Ministries International (JDMI) in Pretoria.

The church is under the leadership of Bishop Vince and First Lady Belinda Blennies.

According to event coordinator , the American singer’s visit was prepared by the dedicated team led by Cresando Krope.

“The security detail led by Evangelist Jerome Morris was commendable and the day went off smoothly,” she said.

“A humble man walked into the building dressed in a pair of slacks, a T-shirt, and a denim jacket and was ready to grace the stage of the packed church.”

Krope said Winans was not scheduled to perform at the church but decided to serenade the congregants with an item or two.

“Powerful praise and worship enveloped the service and there comes onto the stage a musical giant.

“A feeling of nostalgia swept through the crowd as BeBe sang ‘It all comes down to love’, a song that most people had danced to and dated through and is now [being] passed on to the younger generation”.

She said Winans was joined by South African gospel singer, former Joyous Celebration member Mahalia Buchanan.

Krope also said the service was concluded by the powerful sermon of Bishop Vince, which caused a stir in many hearts.

“After the service, a photo opportunity was created for every member of the audience to treasure the memory of the day.

“The community of Eersterust is grateful to Bishop Blennies and his team for creating an opportunity for them to enjoy the musical lyrics of BeBe Winans, a man of great wisdom, humility, and passion.”

She added that the country was looking forward to having BeBe and his sister CeCe Winans grace its stages with their golden voices and heartwarming lyrics.

The theme, “The Experience” at the JDMI church service was certainly an experience to be shared and treasured.
