Centurion residents treated to a unique blend of fear and fun

A good blend of food, music, and night market shopping brought family and friends together at the Centurion Theatre

A pop-up haunted house and moonlight market, organised by the students of the Scenario College for Performing Arts and Enterprise, captivated the audience and attendees with a blend of chills, thrills, and laughter on Friday evening.

Attendees were promised a unique blend of frights and delights, with thrilling and creepy encounters that didn’t just scare, but also amused. Attendees agreed that the event was a success, leaving them with a memorable experience.

Jade Demmer, one of the attendees, told Rekord that she was impressed by the setup, adding that she was impressed that her friend, together with her team, had accomplished it.

“The Haunted Circus was a perfect mix of spooky and hilarious. Kudos to the students for their creativity,” said Demmer.

Mia Snyder said she came to her family and friends to spend some quality time and also get a few items. “Such events bring family and friends together to bond and have fun.

We are also here to support the newly opened restaurant, I have heard that the food is nice so we are here to taste that as well,” added Snyder.

As attendees caught their breath from the haunted horrors, the Moonlight Market awaited in the theatre courtyard. The market promised, and delivered, a diverse array of stalls, offering a variety of goods.

According to the event organisers, all the event’s proceeds would go towards funding the Scenario College Student Fund, which would support students furthering their education in Performing Arts and Creative Entrepreneurship.

“The success of the night can be attributed to the Centurion Theatre’s commitment to creating unique experiences.

The entire theatre was transformed into a haunted house adventure, leaving an indelible mark on those brave enough to venture through its eerie corridors,” added the organisers.

Reflecting on the event the theatre’s CEO Tiaan Kirsten Lubbe said he was extremely proud of what the students have accomplished.

“It’s amazing to see students taking the lead and creating such a memorable experience,” proud Lubbe exclaimed.

He continued to say the theatre proved to be more than just a night of scares adding that it was a journey into the extraordinary.

“With screams, laughter, and unforgettable moments, this event has undoubtedly become a highlight of the year for all those who attended.”

Don’t miss out on the next thrilling adventure – the Centurion Theatre continues to set the stage for unique experiences that linger long after the final curtain falls.
