East police searching for 52-year-old missing man

Pink Ladies Foundation is asking for help from anyone who might know the whereabouts of Rory James Austin.

Garsfontein police are searching for a 52-year-old man who went missing on October 13.

According to the Pink Ladies organisation Rory James Austin was last seen and heard from when he departed for a marathon in Cape Town.

“Rory allegedly flew to Cape Town to visit a friend and participate in a marathon,” the organisation said.

People can look out for someone with green eyes, who wears black-framed square glasses and has dark brown hair.

Police can’t tell what clothing he was wearing at the time but it well-known for dressing well and his silver fossil watch.

The Pink Ladies said Austin was a coffee lover and frequented coffee shops.

Anyone with information that can assist in locating him can contact Warrant Officer Nel on 082 781 0105.

There is no waiting period for reporting a missing person.

The public can also contact the police on 08600 10 111 or 112 – free from all networks.
