Suspects in Rosslyn filling station shooting still at large

The Akasia police are still on the hunt for three suspects in the shooting death of one man and injury of another.

The police said the investigation to find the suspects who drove a white Etios, and fired multiple shots at the man at a filling station in Rosslyn yesterday is ongoing.

The police said a docket for the murder and attempted murder was open and the police appealed to anyone with information that can assist the police arrest the suspects to come forward.

In a previous Rekord report, Akasia SAPS spokesperson Constable Lindiwe Mabasa said, the deceased drove into the filling station in a silver car just after 11:00 and a white Etios soon followed and parked next to him.

“Witnesses reported that the shooters in the white vehicle lowered their window and started shooting at the silver car.

“The petrol attendant was caught in the crossfire and was shot in the chest. He was transported to the nearest hospital.”
