A case of murder and attempted murder was opened at the Akasia Police station today after multiple shots killed a man and hospitalised another.
The station is appealing for anyone to come forward with more information on the shooting that took place at a filling station in Rosslyn this morning.
According to the Akasia SAPS spokesperson Constable Lindiwe Mabasa, the deceased drove into the filling station in a silver car just after 11:00 am, a white Etois soon followed and parked next to him.
“Witnesses reported that the shooters in the white vehicle lowered their window and started shooting at the silver car. “The petrol attendant was caught in the cross fire and was shot in the upper body, he was transported to the nearest hospital.”
This is an active investigation and the police is pleading with residents to help them apprehend the suspects.
