West elderly woman rescued from outbuilding blaze

The building’s roof had already collapsed when emergency services arrived.

An elderly woman (68) was rescued from the flames of a fire that engulfed an outbuilding in Danville, west of Pretoria on Saturday afternoon.
She was rescued by Tshwane firefighters.
“One elderly female patient was treated for smoke inhalation and transported by a Tshwane ambulance to Pretoria West hospital,” Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso said.
“Upon arrival at the scene, the outbuilding was fully engulfed in a fire, with the roof already collapsed,” Mabaso said.
Firefighters at the scene deployed two attack hose lines until they managed to extinguish the blaze.
