Thousands of superheroes and villains are still converging on Gallagher Estate in Midrand to attend day three of the annual Comic Con Africa, where they are battling for supremacy of the best cos players (costume artists) in Africa.
Comic Con originally started out as the Golden State Comic Book Convention 50 years ago, in San Diego, USA, and has since grown to become a worldwide comic book convention.
It included South Africa for the first time last year when the first Comic Con Africa was held at Kyalami racecourse.

Today, the expo has expanded beyond comic books to also include gaming culture and television pop icons.
Tickets for day one of the event on Saturday sold out days in advance, but organisers still expect thousands of people to keep flowing in when Comic Con Africa 2019 concludes tomorrow afternoon on Heritage Day.
