Warning: streets to be affected by march

The following road to be affected as Federation of Trade Unions march to the Union Buildings.

Tshwane metro police have warned motorists that several streets in the Hatfield area would be affected by a planned protest march by the Federation of Trade Unions tomorrow morning.

Affected streets include Pretorius Street, Francis Baard Street and Park Street.

Marchers will gather at the Hatfield Magistrate’s Court at 10:00 and make their way to the Union Buildings.

The march will start off in Hatfield and proceed down Hill Street where they will turn left into Stanza Bopape Street.

They will then will head straight until they reach the Union Buildings.

The marchers are expected to disperse at the Union Buildings at 13:30.

Tshwane metro police officers will monitor the march and all affected streets.

Motorists are advised to avoid the affected streets and use alternative routes such as Leyds Street, Robert Sobukwe Street and Troye Street.
