Hundreds of people took a stroll through the Arts and Crafts Market in 13th Street, Menlo Park on Saturday to browse through the variety of stalls showcasing a selection of exquisite items.

Those items included handcrafted goodies, artwork, clothes, imported home decor and a whole lot more.

The market takes place on Saturdays from 08:00 until 14:00 and offers a variety of goods from more than 88 stalls.

On offer was a variety of crafts from all over South Africa as well as other African countries.

Market manager Kobie Grobler said the market was well received by the locals.

“We started a few years ago with only a handful of stalls but over the years, we have managed to expand which has helped a lot of crafters.

For many of these vendors, this is their main source of income and having the community here does uplift them,” he said.

Grobler said the market was not just a place to shop but was a place of togetherness.

“Families spend their day here and support us every Saturday.”
