It was a nice day to be with friends and family at the second annual Voortrekkers Youth Fair at Laerskool Elarduspark on Saturday.
People came out in their numbers to enjoy various activities with their children and great food offered at different stalls.
The youth fair was hosted in celebration of youth month by the Voortrekkers in the Rietvallei branch to raise funds for the organisation as well as sponsor the youth to participate in the organisation.

Organisation spokesperson Tony Meyer said the event was getting bigger and better and they were hopeful about its future growth.
“We are having food stalls, games for the kids, a market, a mobi zoo as well as the Babalela theatre show for the kids,” he said.
Commander leader Arno Jacobs said their aim was to make it an annual event.
“After last year’s successful youth fair we have decided to make it an annual event, we would also like to extend our gratitude to those who have supported us from the beginning,” he said.
The Voortrekkers is an Afrikaner youth organisation which offers the youth a platform to freely express their views and experience a wide variety of things. The organisation also empowers modern Afrikaners, especially youth, to succeed as positive citizens and consistent Christians.

Jacobs said they chose to celebrate the youth fair during youth month because they wanted to celebrate along with other young people in the country.
